Hello ,
If Jesus would walk right up to you today and you see Him face to face, would you do the ONE thing He tells you that you're called to
do?
Our guest contributor, GiGi Snelson knows what that ONE thing is because she lives it day in and day out. If you desire to have a MUCH closer relationship with Jesus, then pay special attention to what GiGi shares with you this week.
Come With Me Into Stillness and Intimacy
In the busyness of the season, where everything seems to intensify; colors, sounds, cheerful holiday melodies, and even a broad range of emotions that the season may ignite, I hear The Lord say to the joyful and the weary alike:
“Simplify. Come away with Me into the stillness of intimacy My child. I desire to nourish you and cleanse you from all that is not of Me. I want to prune you so you can grow like a tender green plant, blooming into who I destined you to be.
"There is no other way, for I Am The Way. You see My child, you were not made for striving. You
were made to rest in Me.
"Just as a plant receives its nutrients from the sun and the soil it is rooted in, you were created to be rooted and grounded in Me. My love is your nourishment, and My word is your cleansing stream.
"Only in the mirror of My word, can you see with clarity. This life has left its marks. But come, let Me wash away the
dross.”
I then saw Jesus kneeling by a peaceful stream next to you, His child. He takes a bright white cloth, wets it in the sparkling river’s edge, and smiling gently wipes your muddy cheeks. He then takes your hands and does the same.
You see my friend, Jesus
is not interested in your performance.
He is interested in your surrender. Why?
Because in a posture of surrender, we gain revelation of The Holy One.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
The Lord tells us in His word,
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce fruit. For apart
from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Jesus knows we cannot survive this life without Him. He knows the secret place is the womb for our nourishment because He delights in us. He wants to lavish His love upon us, and minister identity into us with with His very presence and the written word.
He is beckoning us back into the place of stillness because without it, it is impossible to know Him and in turn, know who we truly are.
As another year is getting ready to end, the Lord wants us to prepare our hearts for what is ahead.
As the world increases in volume, the Lord’s voice remains still, He changes not. He is beckoning us to take His hand into the stillness where we can clearly see and receive all we need.
The Lord tells us, "Be still and know that I AM God." Psalm 46:10
But what does it look like to be still in a loud world?
First, we must remember we are a 3 part being; spirit, soul, and body. Just like our bodies need rest, so does our soul. The only place of rest, refuge, and healing for the soul is not in the temporal pleasures of this world, but in the presence of Christ.
Knowing Him is the Key
You may be reading this thinking, sister, I DO know Him. Praise The Lord! Keep going deeper. His goodness never ends. He takes us from glory to glory.
The Hebraic view, the biblical concept of the "knowledge of God," da'at elohim, refers to having a life in relationship with Him, intimacy.
This word of encouragement is for all of us, especially those who may be feeling overwhelmed by the noise of life, or the mental attacks from our enemy, the devil. The only way to
guard ourselves from deception and build our faith is to prioritize intimacy with Jesus.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. 1 Timothy 4:1
Of
course, we understand that knowing “of” Him and “knowing Him” are two different things. When we know Him, our automatic response is worship.
And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him. Matthew 28:9
When we know Him, we gain revelation that everything we need is in Him, and we lack no good thing. He tells us to seek Him above all things and all else will be added to us.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
We demonstrate that we love Him by cherishing The Lord above all things and His response is blessings.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Friends, as we close this year and enter into the new year, let’s fully commit to keeping Jesus in His rightful place daily, the throne of our hearts, for He is the greatest treasure there is.
After all, that is what we are celebrating in this season. My prayer for you is that you go forth giving Jesus your entire heart. Submit to Him fully, and watch your enemy flee, as
you taste and see how good Jesus is as He takes you into deeper levels of His love and glory.
Remember, Faith that moves mountains flows from intimacy.
Please consider sowing into A Transforming Word Ministries, it is indeed fertile soil, teaching God’s children how to tune into the voice and heart of God world wide.
Your sister in Christ,
