Today is my BORN AGAIN Birthday! 😃

Hello ,

The Lord wanted me to share my story with you today because not many know how I gave my life to the Lord. In the summer of 1991, I was searching for the SECRET to Success.

I didn't realize that this search would lead to me finding Jesus.

At the time, I just left my job as an elementary physical education teacher and started a career as a motivational speaker helping coaches and athletes with the mental game.

One Sunday as I was leaving Mass, I turned on the radio and heard the Gospel preached for the FIRST time in my life. It was the TRUTH I had been searching for.

So for the next two months, I would listen to the Pastor preach about Jesus and looked forward to hearing more each week.

Have you ever "made a deal" with God before?

I finally got enough courage to go to the Church that was only three miles from my house. Why did it take that long before I decided to visit the Church?

I had a HUGE fear problem.

So I made a deal with God. I told Him I would go under one condition: I didn't want to hear anyone praying in the Spirit out loud. Well, God kept His Word and I was so blessed.

That evening I went back for the evening service, which was a first for me. After the the worship songs were over, the Pastor said to greet those around you.

So I turned around and guess what I saw?

There was a man smiling at me that looked just like JESUS.

For the next two months, I did not accept the altar calls to go and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Why?

I did not UNDERSTAND what that meant.

But one Sunday evening after the service, I turned around to Keith Brown who taught an Exhortation Class at Church on Monday nights and asked him one question after another.

The Lord had told Keith that I was going to be saved that night so he let me ask him question after question.

By the time we got out to the parking lot, he asked me if I wanted to accept Jesus Christ in my heart and make Him my Lord and Savior. I said YES because I understood I was making the MOST IMPORTANT DECISION of my life.

When I prayed, I literally felt something change on the inside of me.

Later on, I discovered that night I was delivered from darkness and translated into His loving Light.

I would not be where I am right now without Jesus Christ. Neither would you.

I believe one reason the Lord wanted me to share this story was for you to know that when you share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that not everyone will UNDERSTAND the decision they are about to make that will change their lives.

Be patient with them. Ask the Lord to open the eyes of their understanding and to know and believe the GOODNESS of God that will lead them to repentance.
